Hotel Le Querce

We had a wonderful stay at the Querce. Its in a great location to walk into Ischia or next to a bus stop for travel all over the island. The staff are all so professional, polite and helpful. Most notably Shabir in the restaurant, Vassili and Joe on reception and Concelia the lovely massage therapist. It has its own beach platform, great pools and indoor spa area. We stayed bed and breakfast and there is a lovely selection of hot, cold food and pastries in their restaurant with the most wonderful views across the bay to Vesuvius and Procida. The rooms are kept wonderfully clean and serviced by the lovely maid staff. We have stayed at the Mare next door, but this experience surpassed that. Highly recommend and we would return when we next visit Ischia.

Super friendly, kind, and accommodating staff - and I mean all of the staff - reception, housekeeping and restaurants! This made our 3 day experience in the hotel unforgettable. Also worth mentioning the great food and amazing views. We all our meals at the hotel and we enjoyed every single dish we were served. The pool was clean and had great availability of chairs and shade. The cliff-side beach is accessible via stairs. Going down and up was easy enough even for us middle-aged folks. Rooms were nice and spacious. I recommend specifically asking for a room with large windows and a private balcony if you choose any of the sea-view rooms. The hotel is within walking distance from the port. It is an uphill/downhill walk so if you choose to do so, wear your walking shoes. Make sure you also take the shortcut pathway amongst the cliff-side houses. We took our kids for an ice-cream in the village and it was completely manageable.

Really disappointed with hotel owners. Due to several days of bad weather we were unable to reach the island and had to reschedule a portion of our trip. The hotel was completely not understanding of our situation, took four days to respond from the owner and in the end would not waive our cancellation fees. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. Really disappointed.

Quaint and authentic Italian hotel. Very friendly. Very clean . Lovely tiled floors in the bedrooms. Good pool. Breakfast a little disappointing because of limited choice of fruit, bread quite dry and the toaster takes for ever! However the view from the restaurant and the pool is stunning over towards Naples and Vesuvius. Bus stop is just outside the entrance. Would recommend the bus as it is every 10-15 mins and only costs 1.50 Euros each no matter how far you go. 2 Euros if you buy from the driver. Taxis are a rip-off and should be avoided if possible. Good place to stay.

Close to the port & a beautiful view of Naples. The ocean access was great, however the steps were a killer. My only concern with the hotel was the noise from the room throughout all hours, noisy from the room above (possibly the tiled floors). It would be a great advantage to have information of what to do & see in Ischia upon arrival. The reception staff have little to no understanding of English and that was a difficult barrier, however the restaurant and bar staff were wonderful. Also ask the reception for their local taxi driver who won’t charge you an arm & a leg. Local bus is also good too, just don’t expect to have a seat.

For a first time visit to the beautiful island of Ischia, I believe we found the best hotel on the island! The staff are all wonderful and so helpful, they have wonderful knowledge of the island and are always there to help. The rooms have lovely tiled flooring and are kept really clean. The outside pool is a decent size, not the biggest but big enough, and it is by far one of the cleanest pool I have ever swam in. The indoor thermae and spa is also lovely to relax, the pool inside is just the right temperature. There is a private platoon for the hotel down by the sea, however there around around 237 steps to get to the sea, but it is well worth it as the sea is great to swim in and the platoon is well kept, there is also drinks and snacks available at certain times of the day to purchase down at the sea platoon. The dinners in the evening were always interesting and never disappointing, a real taste of Italian cuisine. The waiters were always helpful and willing to help make almost anything possible. The breakfast is also good, there is a huge choice of pastries and cakes and fresh fruit, they didn't have a huge range of hot food, there was scrambled eggs and bacon which went quickly so you had to be fast to get some. There is also a free shuttle bus from the hotel at specific times throughout the day which takes you into town and back again a few hours later, this was really handy as it saved walking (the walk back to the hotel from town is quite steep and curvy). The overall best part of the hotel is the spectacular views! I have never stayed anywhere that has such incredible views, some of the best in Ischia! From the hotel, the view looks over at the city of Naples across the bay, truly spectacular from the sunrise to the sunset. I will be returning to the island of Ischia again and returning to Hotel Le Querce, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
